Welcome to today's Daily Build from CodeProject. There's lots and lots of talk of the next version of Windows. Whether it's 8.2 or 8.1 Update 3 or Windows Threshold isn't the interesting bit for me. The interesting thing is that it will, hopefully, bring together Metro apps and desktop apps for those running Windows on a PC or laptop (and let's face it: that's most Windows users). In the meantime there is still the challenge of mixed-mode devices such as 2-in-1 laptops that switch from laptop mode to tablet mode depending on what origami move you do. If you think your app may be used on a modern 2-in-1 laptop please take the time to take a peek at Intel's guidelines for writing mode-aware applications. You'll be doing your users and yourself a favour.
