I just implemented a basic POV (Point of View) class to serve as a view camera into the world. Internally it uses a point of origin, view direction, and up vector for its orientation. Still not sure how to implement it using quaternions… working on it though.

Whoo hoo! I have coordinate systems working 🙂 I can manipulate an object in its own local coordinate system then derive a model-view matrix to place it in the world. First I defined : an object with three orthogonal vectors; that’s the X, Y, Z of the coordinate system.
