DJ Kitty or J-Star will be your party host - both are EMMY Award winning children's songwriters and innovative educators with a background in Early Childhood Education, and co-star/co-created the Zinghoppers Show. The party will be rocking with original songs from the Zinghoppers EMMY Award winning TV series (seen on over 100 PBS member stations nationwide), as well as classic kids tunes that will get the young (and the young at heart) singing, dancing, clapping and zinghopping along! |

Tuesday, August 5, 2014 - 7 p.m. Jack Norton and the Mullet River BoysThe Mullet River Boys are musical purveyors of vintage vaudeville, jug band and ragtimey bluegrass music. Led by EMMY Award winning songwriter Jack Norton, the boys have been called, "one of the most entertaining acoustic groups in the Midwest" by the Minneapolis Star Tribune, the group was named "Artists of the Year" by the Minneapolis Star Tribune in 2000. This dynamic band - whose stated goal is to literally, "corrupt an audience with pleasure" - features Jack Norton on banjo, ululele and guitar - backed by the Mullet River Boys performing on washboards, kazoos, harmonicas, washtub bass and more. Performing original songs, gypsy hokum, vaudeville swing and instrumental breakdowns along with barbershop-style vocals sung through vintage megaphones, sight gags and comedy, the boys are highly entertaining |
