Web Developer Newsletter - Paralyzed by choice in front-end development
40 articles this week
Welcome to this week's Web Development newsletter from CodeProject. Advertisements
Paralyzed by choice in front-end development 'Straight' HTML, HTML5, CSS, SASS, LESS, JavaScript, CoffeeScript, TypeScript. It's endless and getting longer daily. (more: Flippin' Awesome) Browser testing with Modern.IE It's definitely *way* better than the alternative. Plus, many more features for making your web pages more cross-browser. (more: Sitepoint) EpicEditor OK, there are a lot of embeddable editors out there, but this one is EPIC. Not as ripe for giggly jokes like FCKEditor, but EPIC. Oh, and it uses MarkDown, rather than being WYSIWYG. (more: EpicEditor)
Speaking JavaScript Full content for the fine, uhm, Hookbill? related book. A nice introduction to JavaScript, and the paper version is also available. (more: O'Reilly) Mozilla Webmaker teaches you to build web sites, apps, and more OK, some people may say it's not appropriate for the web newsletter, as you're all supremely capable angle bracket smiths. For those who aren't, here you go. (more: LifeHacker) Spring-cleaning unused CSS with Grunt, Gulp, Broccoli or Brunch CSS files are like 'that' drawer in your kitchen. The one with pens, coupons you'll never use, those little plastic things that you picked up off the floor (they looked like they were part of something, maybe they're important). Some people actually keep them neat. (more: Addy Osmani) JSHint How ugly is that JS code you're about to use? Take a hint and have this tool take a look at it.
