Really, how is this even possible? Even with insane volume discounts, I'd expect that the parts are more than $38. (more: Wall Street Journal)

I get it: marketing well is hard. But how many people saw this and said, "Yes, that's what we want". Or were they just thinking (correctly, apparently) that it would be so bad people would pass it around? (more: Beta News)

Still a long way to go, but being #3 is a great position for Microsoft: it means that they'll actually keep trying. The addition/control of Nokia next year should definitely help. (more: Windows Supersite)
