Your morning update: Daily News - 50 years of BASIC: Celebrating the programming language's long, eventful life
From the mind of me: We always try to give you useful and informative news items (and hopefully amuse you in the process). However, a few people alerted us last week that the Mashable item, "How to protect yourself from the Heartbleed Bug", was triggering a malware alert. We couldn't reproduce this[1], but to keep everyone safe we replaced that news item with a similar one from a different site. We're sorry to all those who were affected, hopefully no harm was actually done. Thank you for your patience, and for your (hopefully) continued readership. TTFN - Kent [1] I'm still not sure if it was a false positive, or if it was one of the advertisements on Mashable (certainly that would account for only a few people noticing it.
