CodeProject | Web Developer Newsletter - Learning AngularJS by example
| 40 articles this week
Welcome to this week's Web Development newsletter from CodeProject. Advertisements
Learning AngularJS by example Dan Wahlin has been "one of those ASP.NET guys" for as long as I remember. It's always nice (IMO) to see sample code for a new technology, so it's nice (IMO) to see a semi-real world application of AngularJS, for both ASP.NET and Node.js. (more: Dan Wahlin) Every app goes offline Oh, the bane(s) of Web applications everywhere: airplanes, tunnels, and full conference halls. So, what to do when your app goes offline? Swear? Kick a sysadmin? Sure, but offline.js also promises an easier solution. It lets your user know when the app is disconnected, and (apparently) records AJAX calls for later replay. (more: Offline.js) 12 awesome CSS3 features that you can finally start using Assuming... you know: that your users are using something relatively modern in the browser department. Some of them still need prefixes, but who doesn't want to do animation entirely in CSS? (OK, me, but some of these are neat) (more: Tutorial Zine)
Audio synthesis in JavaScript From the "Why in the FSM's name? WHY?!" department. Still, I guess there must be *some* reason out there, so *some* of you might be interested. But if the hamsters start playing dubstep when I visit the lounge... (more: Flippin' Awesome) Knockout Knockout 3.0 is another hit? No. Knockout 3.0 beats the competition? No. Tough headline. Knockout 3.0 is better than Knockout 2.0? Meh, but I'll go with that. (more: Knockout.js) Four serious math libraries for JavaScript Because nothing says "serious" like doing it in a semi-interpreted language for performance. Of course, these aren't all "performance" type libraries, so here you go. (more: Smartbear) Using horizontal design for Websites Pick any design concept: colour (especially using multiple colours together), font, and layout. Guaranteed there is some standard recommendation, and almost as guaranteed, there will be sites counter to this recommendation. "Don't use bright orange near bright green." {cough} "Only use one or two fonts per site/page." "Don't make the user scroll horizontally." I can't help you with the first two (today), but here's something for the third. (more: Flippin' Awesome) Latest Articles40 articles overall. 5 new, 35 updated.New articles addedClient side scripting
